    Please find below the links to our podcast and short film produced as part of Kurdish Sun in Winter Warsaw festival (07.02.2025) and Nouruz-Newroz Festival (Kraków 20-23.03.2025). Both festivals wer part of the project Citizenship, Migration and Women’s Activism in Kurdistan and the Diaspora which is part of the initiative Science and Society: Bilateral initiative in Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (2014-2021) and the EEA Financial Mechanism (2014-2021) operated by National Science Centre – Poland (NCN).

  • Kurdish for foreigners

    Online presentation by Joanna Bocheńska entitled Fêrkirina kurdî ji bo xwendekarên biyanî (Kurdish for foreigners? The potential and problems of teaching Kurdish for foreigners) during the conference about the Sociolinguistic Situation of the Kurdish language organised by the International Institute for Thought and Social Sciences on the occasion on the International Mother Language Day - 21.02.2025. The festival was organised by the Andrzej Wajda Centre for Film Culture and ALCITfem team as part of the project Citizenship, Migration and Women's Activism in Kurdistan and the Diaspora.

  • Kurdology

    A documentary Kurdology (Kurdnasi) by the Kurdish filmmaker Ako Hama about the research project How to Make a Voice Audible? Continuity and Change of the Kurdish Culture and Social Reality in Postcolonial Perspectives and the JU Section of Kurdish Studies. The documentary was made between 2016-2019, in Kurdish&English.

  • Our project on the Polish Radio

    Our project was a guest of the Polish Radio program by Katarzyna Kobylecka which is devoted to Polish research. In the 20 minute discussion Karol Kaczorowski, Krzysztof Lalik and Joanna Bocheńska were talking about their research and many experiences of traveling to Kurdistan.
