The socio-cultural changes among Christians living in Kurdistan in the 19th century, caused by the presence of Europeans and Americans also have an impact on the Kurds. The advent of printing and the wide distribution of books contribute to a gradual redefining of their own traditions and also the development of Assyrian and  Kurdishnationalisms. In studies of cultures of print in Kurdistan used weretheoretical approach and proposals of an American researcher Elizabeth Eisenstein.
